HIS Kids and Covid-19
I am sure many of you have questions moving forward. I will try to answer them all and provide a link that will answer questions as well. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/family-and-social-supports/covid-19/qa_child_care_sector.pdf
HIS Kids will be open during the school closures, offering care for all of those that still need to be at work. As of April 1 HIS Kids will taking sign-ups on a need basis only, there will be no monthly fees. Monthly fees will return when school is back in session. You can sign-up for days that you need as you need them, much like Summer Day Camps. Cost will be $40/day/child.
You will not lose your spot for when everything returns back to normal, whenever that may be (unless you’re child has aged out of the program at that point) However, we will be taking payments to reserve your spot for the new school year (September), like we do every year. To save your spot you need to pre-pay for September, non-refundable. This is what we have done every year for the past 20 years at HIS Kids.
HIS Kids will have stringent cleaning protocols in place that meet and exceed Ministry standards. Every night a professional cleaning crew will come in and thoroughly clean all surfaces throughout the facility including bathrooms, kitchens, tables, chairs, doorknobs, etc... Staff will also be doing a mid-day clean as well as spot-wipe downs of high traffic objects throughput the day. We will also be training the children rigorously on proper hand washing practices and they will be supervised through this process each time we wash our hands.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. If you will be requiring this service that starts next week I will need to know as soon as possible.
